The mosquito bites three more

The spread of dengue in different areas of Punjab has increased the worries of citizens as more dengue cases were surfaced across the province on Tuesday. According to health authorities, dengue virus has been detected in three more patients hailing from Pakpattan, Lahore and Sheikhupura who were admitted at Mayo Hospital. With three new cases total number of dengue patients across the province has reached to 65. Provincial health authorities were of the view that anti-dengue campaign is in full swing and all available resources were being utilised to control the further spread of the disease. The Health Department officials said that besides fumigation, vaccination, precautionary measures and awareness campaigns in the countryside areas were also in progress. They said that without the cooperation of masses, provincial government could not succeed in the anti-dengue drive.
