A US citizen of Pakistani origin Husnain Bokhari who was allegedly kidnapped on Monday evening returned to his house in Bhati Gate on Tuesday. Bukhari was allegedly kidnapped soon after his arrival from USA but the drama came to an end when he safely returned back to his home. “I had a flight at 3am in the morning and my parents were taking me back to the US but I did not want to go back,” said Bukhari while recording his statement with the Bhati Gate police who had registered a kidnapping case on request of his father earlier on Monday evening.
ELDERLY WOMAN ROBBED: An elderly woman was robbed of her pension in Baghbanpura police precincts on Tuesday. Raiz Begum, 70, a resident of Baghbanpura, was heading back home after retrieving her pension from a local bank when a man on a motorbike offered the elderly woman a lift. The woman took a bad decision of her life and accepted the offer. As they reached Shalimar Chowk, the man snatched Rs 28,000 from the woman and escaped after shoving her on the ground. “I am a widow and run my finances through my husband’s pension. I do not know how I will make the ends meet,” said the victim.
