Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Wednesday forecast rain and thundershower at isolated places in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
According to the synoptic situation, seasonal low was lying over northwest Balochistan and adjoining areas.
Weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea were penetrating into upper parts of the country up to 3,000 feet. A shallow westerly wave was also prevailing over Kashmir and adjoining areas.
Rain with thundershower is expected at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat divisions and Kashmir. Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of Sindh, Gilgit Baltistan and Balochistan during the next 24 hours.
The chief amount of rainfall recorded during the last 24 hours was 2mm in Kalam.
The maximum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Lahore 36ºC, Multan 36ºC, Peshawar 37ºC,Murree 23ºC, Karachi 33ºC, Faisalabad 37ºC, Gilgit 33ºC, Gujranwala 34ºC and Badin 34ºC.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 40ºC in Sukkur, Sibbi, DI Khan, Joharabad, Dadu, Rohri, Dalbandin and Shaheed Benazirabad.
