National Assembly (NA) opposition leader Khurshid Ahmed Shah said on Tuesday that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) would not support any conspiracy to derail the democratic system in the country.
Shah said the PPP had strived for and sacrificed many lives for the restoration of democracy in the country and would keep doing so without any reservations.
“There can be differences between the PPP and the PML-N led government on national issues and policies but it does not mean that PPP would conspire to destabilise political or democratic institutions,” Shah said.
He greeted President Asif Ali Zardari on the completion of his presidential tenure despite facing many hurdles.
