The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on Wednesday again denied holding any kind of talks with the government.

TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid told a private news channel from an undisclosed location that the Taliban supported reconciliation and some Ulema had also contacted the TTP for peace talks.

He said internal discussions on holding or not holding talks with the government were underway within the TTP. However, no final decision had been made in this regard so far.

The TTP spokesman said the Taliban would make a proper announcement if talks were held with the government and nothing would be concealed.

Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan had also denied media reports about talks with the Taliban and said no talks were taking place as yet.
