The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) is going to introduce new operational transport routes to facilitate commuters.
LTC Chairman Khawaja Ahmed Hassan said on Wednesday that efforts are being made to increase the existing fleet of buses in the Lahore to meet the growing transportation needs of its residents, adding that planning for the new operational routes is on an upswing.
While presiding a high level meeting at Chief Minister’s Secretariat he said that the LTC had successfully entered into arrangements with local and foreign private transport companies that paved the way for bringing state-of-the-art CNG air-conditioned buses to the city.
On the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Turkey, he said that support and cooperation in the transport sector would be one of the topics of discussion.
Furthermore, he said that both courtiers have deep-rooted ties and the profound interest shown by Turkish investors in various sectors will unleash new avenues for investment in projects of mutual interest. He said that various proposals will be given to the Turkish investors from the Punjab government in respect of opportunities in diversified sectors. Moreover, he said that the metro bus is an example of successful project that has restored the confidence of foreign investors.
