Farewell ceremony held for AIG Mubarak Ali Athar

A farewell ceremony was held on Tuesday at the Central Police Office (CPO) on the retirement of Additional Inspector General (AIG) (Training) Mubarak Ali Athar. The ceremony was arranged by Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khan Baig in order to pay tribute to the outgoing officer. Speaking on the occasion, IGP Khan Baig paid rich tributes to Mubarak Ali Athar on the completion of his 33 years of service. The IGP said that due to the competent officers like Mubarak Ali Athar the efficacy of the police department has greatly improved. He said, “Such officers are an asset to the department, setting high standards of professionalism for those to come.” Khan Baig also said that the police department will always be proud of Mubarak Ali Athar and hoped that the AIG would continue providing guidelines to the training department in the future. Mubarak Ali Athar thanked all the officers and said that he was leaving the department with a sense of great satisfaction and pride. The IGP Punjab presented souvenir to Mubarak Ali Athar after the ceremony. Meanwhile, the Training Department also separately arranged a farewell ceremony in honour of the AIG.
