Prime Minister goes for peace arguments in Karachi

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has gone to Karachi to find out the solution of ongoing violence that continues to tighten its grip around it.

During his visit, the prime minister is scheduled to meet the representatives of Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industries, traders’ unions and media to make them aware about the government’s roadmap.

The prime minister will also chair the special meeting of the federal cabinet which will be held at the Governor House in Karachi on Wednesday (tomorrow). The meeting will review peace and security situation of the city.

The sources said that the interior ministry and other state institutions will present their reports regarding law and order situation of Karachi in the special meeting of the cabinet. Sindh governor, chief minister, chief secretary, DG Rangers, DG ISI and DG IB will also attend the upcoming cabinet meeting.

Mutttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar has also been invited to attend the session followed by the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. It is expected that the federal cabinet will hear the stance of the MQM seeking the deployment of army in Karachi.
