Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Tuesday directed the Revenue Department officials to ensure the presence of all patwaris in their respective patwar circles.
Patwaris who will not be present in their respective circles from the next week will be deemed to have been suspended and an inquiry will be initiated against them.
He issued these directives during a meeting with the MPAs and MNAs of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and party workers.
The CM also ordered the arrest of those patwaris who keep private assistants for their official duties.
On the complaints of the party workers that patwaris usually sit in the houses of individuals to discharge their official duties, the CM also directed the authorities concerned to rent accommodation for them on emergency basis.
