Kashmiris want peaceful solution of Kashmir issue: Yaqoob

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Sardar Yaqoob Khan on Saturday said the Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) wanted a peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue.
Addressing the launching ceremony of ‘Youth Forum For Kashmir (YFK)’ here, the AJK President said that the day was not far when the whole Kashmir would become a part of Pakistan.
He said that the Kashmiris were sacrificing their lives for right to self-determination and their movement for liberation would continue until its logical end.
Sardar Yaqoob praised the efforts of Mian Muhammad Somroo and YFK Chairman Sardar Asadullah Khan for launching the forum and hoped that YFK would also play a positive role for resolving the Kashmir issue.
Speaking on the occasion, AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said that both Pakistan and India were nuclear powers, which were the main stakeholders in the Kashmir dispute. The issue should be resolved peacefully, otherwise it could explode into a nuclear war, he added.
He praised the Muslim leadership of Indian-held Kashmir (IHK) for their stand on the issue and sacrifices for the right to self-determination.
He said that the sacrifices of Kashmiris would not go in vain.
Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali said that the international organisations should have to break their silence on the oldest conflict as the United Nations had not been able to implement its own 63-year old resolutions.
Earlier, many speakers highlighted the different aspects of the Kashmir issue.
They said that the long standing issue should be resolved in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiris and the UN resolutions.
