ANF’s recovers more than 42kg of heroin, 562kg of hashish, cocaine in separate incidents

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has recovered 40 kilogrammes of fine quality heroin from a vehicle on Mianwali-Talagang road and has arrested two accused.

According to an ANF press release issued on Sunday, an ANF team deployed near Musa Khel at Rakhi Mor on the Mianwali-Talagang road found two fuel tanks in a land cruiser (FDP-366). During checking, the ANF team recovered 40 kilogrammes of heroin concealed in one of the fuel tanks.

Two men present in the vehicle, Luqman Hakeem, resident of Noshki and Salman, resident of Jaccobabad, were arrested.

A case has been registered against the accused at Mianwali ANF Police Station and investigation is under way.

In a separate incident, the ANF recovered 562 kilogrammes of hashish and two kilogrammes of heroin on Saturday from a Suzuki Mehran car at a toll plaza on the Super Highway, Karachi.

According to an ANF press release, an ANF checking team was on its routine task at the toll plaza. On seeing the ANF checking team, the driver stopped the car, which did not have any registration number, and fled the scene.

Upon inspection, the ANF recovered 562 kilogrammes of hashish and two kilogrammes of heroin from the car. Efforts are under way to arrest the people involved.

In another operation, the ANF arrested Muhammad Jehangir, who was going to Jeddah from the KarachiAirport and recovered 620 grammes of heroin and 245 grammes cocaine, which was concealed in his shoes.
