Dengue imprints six more

The number of reported dengue patients in the city has reached 54 after six new cases were reported on Friday. Despite government’s efforts for dengue eradication, new cases are constantly being reported from various hospitals of the metropolitan. Four of the latest cases have appeared in Mayo Hospital; Zahir, Ume Khadija, Faizan and Azeem, while two others Gul Rehman and Imran have been diagnosed dengue positive at Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yaki Gate. According to details, Sheikhupura follows the metropolitan in the number of cases with 15 cases while Faisalabad 4, and one each in Vehari, TT Singh, Hafizabad, Nankana, Gujrat and Sialkot.
LECTURE ON DENGUE: Traffic Headquarters SP Azhar Gujjar on Friday delivered a lecture to students at Queen Mary College for Women on awareness about dengue larvae and precautionary measures. According to the traffic police, he said that women could play an important role in preventing dengue virus in the city, adding that city traffic police had educated women about the traffic rules and laws.
