The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday ordered vote recounting in Punjab Assembly’s PP-150 after rigging allegations on the day of the by-polls.
The ECP declared the results and judgment made by the Returning Officer (RO) and ordered a recount in three days.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had staged protests against alleged rigging at some polling station of PP-150.
Earlier on Monday, the ECP took suo moto notice of the rigging allegations during PP-150’s by-polls and summoned all the contesting candidates.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s Mian Margoob was declared successful in PP-150 by the RO.
