The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) adjourned the hearing of the alleged NA-125 rigging case against Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N)’s Khawaja Saad Rafique.
During the hearing on Wednesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Candidate Hamid Khan’s advocate said that bogus votes cast in the constituency and the final result’s tampering helped Rafique succeed. He requested a recount of the votes with the National Database Registration Authority (NADRA)’s assistance.
Rafique’s legal counsel requested for some grace time to submit its reply. The court duly granted this until September 2 and directed the parties concerned to submit their replies regarding the issue.
