A man on Tuesday killed his wife over a family dispute and fled from the scene.
According to details, a man named M Azam, a resident of Talley Flats; Liaqatabad hanged his wife Zubaiba from a ceiling fan.
After getting information, police reached on the scene, recovered the body and shifted it to the city morgue for autopsy. An FIR has also been registered by Liaquatabad police against the accused on the request of Zubaida’s mother Perveen.
The area residents said that the couple used to quarrel often. Zubaida had four children including three sons and one daughter from her first husband.
SEVEN-YEAR-OLD GIRL RAPED: A seven-year-old girl was raped in Peer Ronaki Dabar, Shadbagh.
As per details, Anum Shahzadi, daughter of labourer Yousaf, was alone at home when rickshaw driver Javed Gaddi forced into the house, raped her and fled from the scene. The area people reached on the spot after the girl called for help.
Her parents along with area people gathered at Shadbagh Police Station and protested against the police and demanded to arrest the criminal.
MISCREANT ARRESTED: A miscreant and his son were arrested on Monday night on the orders of the IG.
Reports said that the criminals were involved in fraud and also had connections with police high-ups.
The report said further Chaudary Naseer and his son Atif Naseer were arrested by Mozang Police. The police said both father and son fraudulently took millions of rupees from different people for business. When the people demand for their money they threatened them. The report also said the criminals also took Rs 6 million from Naeem.
