Former Azad Jammu and Kashmir prime minister Attique Ahmad Khan on Wednesday said India is doing research and effort to justify its brutality in Kashmir, but unfortunately, Pakistan and Kashmiri leadership are not taking enough steps to highlight Pakistan’s stance around the globe.
“Postage letters dispatched from Srinagar on 15 August had stamp of Pakistan. Unfortunately we do not have consistent policy on Kashmir.”
He said, “India is doing research to justify his wrong stance but we are not doing work on our right stance. We are doing much work on fault finding and now we should work on good will.”
Addressing at a seminar ‘Kashmir: Question of Justice, the former PM said that India is making dams illegally and releasing more water in rivers driving floods. He said, “The European Union took action on mass graves in Kashmir but we did not work to raise the issue internationally.”
The seminar was organised by the Muslim Institute.
Speaking on the occasion, head of Muslim Institute Sultan Ahmad Ali said Kashmir was not only issue of South Asia and Muslim world but it is one of the important issues of the globe.
He urged the international community to condemn Indian brutality in Kashmir.
Defence analyst Brig (r) Asif Haroon Raja said the Kashmir issue is unresolved due to violence of India. He said the UN remained ineffective even with 18 resolutions about Kashmir. None including US tried to apply formula of Sudan or East Timor. International community ignored Human rights violation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
