Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Minister Pir Sadaruddin Rashidi on Saturday ordered the Overseas Pakistani Foundation (OPF) managing director to expedite work on development schemes to ensure their early completion.
The minister issued these directives while presiding over a meeting to review the performance of OPF. The OPF MD briefed the minister about the performance of the foundation and the progress of the various development schemes – housing colonies, Schools and colleges in the country.
The minister reiterated that overseas Pakistanis are contributing handsomely and all out efforts were being made to facilitate them. He also directed the MD to ensure transparency in execution of the schemes and relevant rules must be followed while awarding contracts and floating tenders.
The minister advised the MD that his office be kept informed of the progress being made by the OPF fortnightly.
