LWMC youth flag marches against dengue

Some hundred students of Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC)’s Youth Club flag marched against dengue on city’s main square despite having a local holiday.

Lead by the club’s manager communication Memoona Arslan, the march started from the Charring Cross and concluded at Regal Chowk. Purpose of this flag march was to highlight the worsening issue of dengue in the metropolitan and sensitise masses on the precautionary steps to get rid of this menace. Other participants of flag march included LWMC assistant managers Mehdi Shah, Asad Ahmed, Umair Khan, faculty members and students of Islamia Secondary School and Elite Public School, Mehmud Booti, Albayrak representatives and teams of social activists.

PIAF UP AGAINST DENGUE: Pakistan Industrial and Traders Associations Front (PIAF), while appreciating the efforts to weed out the menace of dengue, has assured Punjab government of its full support.

In a statement issued on Friday, the PIAF Chairman Malik Tahir Javed asked all the businessmen to extend maximum cooperation to the government to make its efforts a complete success. He also urged them to arrange anti-dengue sprays and ensure cleanliness in and around their business houses and industrial units.
