Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Saturday contacted senior party leader Mahmud-ur-Rashid on phone to express solidarity with protestors.

“It is our democratic right to hold a protest against election rigging,” Khan said, and congratulated Mehr Wajid for his victory in PP-150.

According to the ECP, Wajid lost to a PML-N candidate by a narrow margin. But the PTI maintained that his candidate was winning by 2500 votes before being declared as a loser by the commission. He strongly demanded recounting of votes in the constituency.
