Fumigation of Rawal, Potohar towns demanded

Anti-mosquito and anti-pest sprays have not been spayed in various areas of Rawal and Potohar towns after the recent rains, posing threat of spread of malaria, dengue and other epidemics.
Moreover, no steps have been taken to improve the sanitation and drainage arrangements in the areas. Rainwater is still accumulating in the low-lying areas and localities along Nullah Lai, including Javed Colony, Nadeem Colony, Muslim Colony, Aria Mohallah, Mohanpura, Kartarpura, Amerpura, Dhok Najoo, Dhok Mangtal, Gawalmandi, Sadiqabad, Asghar Mall Road, Saidpur Road, Chaklala village, Shah Khalid Colony, Shakerial, Dhamial, Adiala Road, Dhok Khaba, Dhok Farman Ali, Chaman Zar Colony and Pirwadhai.
Residents have started the sanitation and drainage work in their respective areas. They demanded of the town administrations to help them in the tasks and ensure fumigation of areas as soon as possible.
