Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has lifted ban on recruitments in the Intelligence Bureau (IB).
The premier announced this during his visit to the bureau on Friday. Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Information Minister Pervez Rasheed were also present on the occasion.
PM Nawaz was briefed on the matters related to internal and external security besides actions against terrorism.
Nawaz Sharif, keeping in view the prevailing security situation in the country, lifted ban on the recruitments in the Intelligence Bureau. He also approved various proposals to enhance the capability of the agency. Nawaz also approved purchase of new and modern equipment for the IB.
