Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Khurshid Shah on Friday said it was evident from by the by-election results that people had started realising their mistake and the PPP popularity graph was now rising.
He was talking to reporters in the Parliament House along with PPP Senator Raza Rabbani.
Both PPP leaders said the PPP stood at the third position on the victory stand in the general elections and “now our position has improved from No 3 to No 2 in the by-polls”.
Shah said he had talked to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif with regards to the appointment of NAB chairman. “The prime minister will send new names for the position. We will also soon send a name in connection with induction of a chief election commissioner to the PM.”
Rabbani said the government should take the House into confidence on restoration of the National Security Council (NSC). “The National Security Act is still operational and we are not point scoring on the matter of national security,” he said.
