The Punjab government on Thursday approved six development schemes costing Rs 6,135.670 million.
The schemes were approved in the fourth meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year presided over by Punjab Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Irfan Elahi, a P&D spokesman said.
Punjab P&D Secretary Arif Anwar Baloch, members of the P&D Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial departments attended the meeting.
The approved schemes included: The purchase of Land for Kala Shah Kaku’s Lahore College Women University at the cost of Rs 311.231 million, the establishment of Narowal (Phase-I)’s Government Polytechnic Institute for Women costing Rs 210.987 million, the Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project (PMSIP) (revised) costing Rs 4100.810 million, the construction of a 11.44 km road from the Jinnah Chowk to the Northern By-Pass to Multan Public School and from Bosan Road to Matti Tal Road in district Multan (revised) costing Rs 909.918 million, the Rehabilitation/Improvement of the 10.80 km Sunder-Raiwind Road
Costing Rs 280.876 million and the dualisation/improvement of the 1.92 km Golra road from the GT Road to Islamabad’s Kashmir Highway length (revised) costing Rs 321.848 million.
