Sanaullah dubs PTI white paper ‘fool paper’

Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Thursday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief attempted to ‘hoodwink’ the people and termed the party’s white paper a ‘fool paper’.
He urged the chief election commissioner to take notice of the ‘objectionable utterances’ by Imran Khan against the returning officers.
Talking to journalists outside the Punjab Assembly, he said that the issuance of a white paper ahead of the by-polls was merely a bid to put the returning officers under pressure. He said that the by-elections would be held in a fair, free and transparent manner like May 11’sgeneral elections.
To a question, Sanaullah said that the Punjab government was prepared to hold local bodies’ elections anytime now and that it was up to the election commission to hold these polls sooner or later.
Furthermore, he said that the new local bodies’ bill would help the common Pakstanis as their problems would now be resolved at local level.
To another question, Sanaullah said the stance of Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan was not aggressive, but that the latter responded to the allegations of the opposition in the same tone and manner as they had extended.
