A man gunned down his sister-in-law and niece in suspicion of their “soulless” characters on Wednesday before presenting himself to the police.
According to details, Yousaf, residing in Chung Police Station’s jurisdiction was suspicious about the character of his sister-in-law aged 48 and his Niece aged 19.
He claimed to have repeatedly asked them to mend their ways but they turned deaf ears to his demands.
On Wednesday, after the exchange of hot words, the culprit opened fire killing both of them at the spot before presenting himself to the police in possession of the murder weapon.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The sister-in-law’s parents told police officials that their son-in-law, Manzoor, was also involved in this murder but Yousuf confessed that the act was committed at only his accord and that his brother was not involved.
The police registered a case into the dual murder and started their investigation. The SHO concerned said that if the woman’s parents filed an application against Manzoor, they would investigate him too, adding that the situation would soon be extrapolated.
