Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-290 narrowly escaped a mishap after its engine stopped working just before taking off from the Bahrain International Airport on Wednesday.

The passengers were sent to Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore through alternative flight after a 12-hour-long delay.

ARMS FOUND IN LUGGAGE:

The Airport Security Force (ASF) personnel recovered a pistol and bullets from the luggage of a passenger, Usman, who was heading to Jeddah from the Allama Iqbal International Airport via a private airline on Wednesday.

The ASF handed over the suspect to the police. In his statement, Usman said his family members had mistakenly added the pistol to his luggage and that he was not aware of it.
