Three people, including two security personnel, were injured in a bomb explosion near a Motorway Police vehicle in Mastung district’s Khat Kocha area on Wednesday.
According to sources, the Motorway Police were on routine patrolling in the area when a bomb planted near the roadside exploded, injuring the three.
The injured were taken to hospital where they were stated to be in critical condition.
The security forces and other law enforcement agencies cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation.
Meanwhile, the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel arrested at least eight suspects on charges of targeted killings, kidnapping and snatching vehicles in Pashtoonabad area of Quetta.
According to FC sources, the FC personnel conducted raids at two houses on tip off from where they arrested eight suspects involved in targeted killings, kidnapping for ransom, robberies and snatching vehicles.
They were taken to an undisclosed location for investigation.
