A major reshuffling was carried out in the police department on Monday with transfer of eight superintendents of police (SPs) and appointment of a new AIG (Establishment).
According to a police sources, Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui, a BPS-19 officer was appointed Assistant Inspector General (Establishment).
SP (City) Captain Muhammad Ilyas was transferred to the Investigation Wing, while Captain Mustansar Feroz was made SP (City). Captain Ilyas was also given additional charge of SP (CID).
SP Asmatullah was appointed in the Traffic Division while SP Industrial Area Muhammad Ashfaq was given the new assignment of SP (Route). Shabih Hussain, serving in the traffic division was appointed as SP (Rural) while SP Gulfam Nasir was transferred to Industrial Area from CID.
Farukh Rasheed, serving in the DPD was appointed as SP Industrial Area while SP (Rural) Sardar Sadaqat Ali was transferred to the DPD. These postings and transfers have been made on the recommendations of Chief Commissioner Islamabad, the source said.
