Due to heavy monsoon spells 400 houses in Dhoke Thali are deprived of electricity while the concerned authority is doing nothing to provide relief to the residents.
In the precincts of Tamtan Police Station, the electricity transformer has been out of order for two weeks. The standing water has become a breeding ground for dengue creating more difficulties for the residents.
The residents of the area complained against the misbehaviour of WAPDA line Superintendent Rizwan Khalid who told them to pool in an amount of Rs 12,000 for repair of the transformer. Meanwhile, the area residents have demanded the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to take notice of the situation and restore power at the earliest.
