The federal government has decided to give ‘English medium’ status to 90 government schools of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and has directed the FATA education department to make special arrangements in this connection.
This will be the first phase of a series of upgradations to improve the quality of education in FATA and the Frontier Regions (FR).
In the second phase, approximately a 100 more schools will be upgraded.
