Lahore Division won the Independence Day Boxing Championship with 150 points here at the Punjab College Sports Hall.
The event which was organized by Punjab Boxing Association under the auspices of Punjab Olympic Association was to celebrate the Independence Day of Pakistan. Four divisions participated in this championship. Khawar Shah Secretary Pakistan Baseball Federation inaugurated the championship as a chief guest. Muhammad Saqib was named the Best Boxer.
The Chief Guest for closing ceremony was Mr. Arshad Sittar Director Sports Punjab Group of Colleges who distributed cash award, medals, certificates and trophies to the winners. The chief referee of the championship was Tariq Gujjar and Director of the Championship was Muhammad Yousaf Butt.
