Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Chaudhry on Monday said if the anti-terrorism laws were not strictly implemented then the country would not be steered out of terrorism.
He expressed these views while hearing the case of Arif Masood. Chaudhry said the court is the biggest constitution of the country.
Meanwhile, Justice Jawad S Khawaja has given remarks that even in the era of Ranjeet Singh whenever any murder was committed the accused would be awarded death sentence as per the law.
A man was murdered during a dispute between two families in Mianwali and seven others were nabbed in this connection while six people were released and only one person, Arif, was imprisoned.
Moreover, the high court and several lower courts had disposed of his bail due to which the man has filed a bail petition in the Supreme Court.
