Dogs bite incidents are on the rise in Khanna Dak due to negligence of the concerned authorities.

KRL Road has turned into a hub for stray dogs as they flock the road and nearby areas including markets and streets creating problems for the public.

According to commuters, the stray dogs mostly injure pedestrians. “We cannot send our children alone to school located along side the KRL Road as we fear that they might get bitten by stray dogs,” said one of the pedestrians.

A group of mothers standing on the roadside said, “We have to accompany our children or send them on wagons to school despite the fact that their educational institutions are walking distance away.” Nabeela Anjum, a homemaker said that it has become extremely difficult for the children to go out alone to the nearby market to buy anything for fear of getting bitten by stray dogs roaming in the area.

The residents of the area have demanded the authorities for immediate evacuation of stray dogs to avoid any untoward incident.
