Shahbaz briefs Nawaz on flood situation

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif had a meeting on Sunday with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at his Jati Umra residence and briefed him about steps being taken for the relief and rehabilitation of flood affectees and on other issues relating to the province.
Shahbaz said that the entire provincial government machinery had been mobilised to assist the flood affected and to minimise the subsequent losses.
Nawaz appreciated the timely action taken by the Punjab government but added that the relief measures needed to be expedited further so that the affectees were able to resume their daily routines.
He said that the Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) would not leave even a single affected person alone in this time of difficulty.
Moreover, Nawaz said that the government was determined to put the country on a path of development and prosperity for which its topmost priority was to free the masses of load shedding, price hikes and other such problems.
