Ashiq Hussain Shah was appointed Faisalabad excise and taxation director on Sunday.
He was transferred from Lahore and had replaced Sarfraz Wafa who was transferred to Bahawalpur.
Shah will officially take over the charge of his office on Monday, said a spokesman for the department.
