Bomb defused near KP CM’s residence

The Bomb Disposal Squad on Saturday defused a home-made bomb near the residence of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, officials said.
According to police officials, unidentified miscreants had thrown the device packed inside a box, soon after the Bomb Disposal Squad was called in.
The squad defused the device after sealing the whole, they said.
The bomb weighed about 200 to 300 grams, the Bomb Disposal Squad said.
Violence is on the rise after the transition of power in the province as well in centre with both the governments yet to come with a comprehensive policy to cope up with terrorism.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s two lawmakers have been targeted by terrorists so far.
