Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has appointed separate batches of computer lab supervisors under two different grades, BPS-7 and BPS-12, it has been learnt.
The first batch of 35 lab supervisors was appointed in 2006 in BPS-7, whereas 81 more supervisors were recruited in 2008 in BPS-12
A lab supervisor of the first batch, not wishing to be named said, “It is sheer discrimination as we hold graduate and post-graduate degrees but were appointed as BPS-7 officers, while those inducted later for the same post have been appointed as BPS-12 officers.”
The supervisor said that they have complained time and again to the FDE high-ups but to no avail. The supervisors requested Capital Administration and Development Division (CAD) secretary and FDE Director General (DG) Dr Shahnaz to look into the matter.
When contacted, FDE DG said that she would personally look into the matter. “I am not aware of any such discrimination,” she added.
