All private and public educational institutions in provincial capital under the Punjab Education Department reopened Thursday after summer and Eid vacations.
As the weather has turned harsh and it was raining since early morning in many areas, the attendance of students remained thin. Students were happy to rejoin their classmates after the vacations.
The vacation, which started in June, ended Thursday as the students resumed their studies after enjoying the summer season with their families and relatives.
This year, the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan in July followed by Eid-ul-Fitr gave the students an opportunity to restart the academic activities with fresh mind and enthusiasm.
Muhammad Ibrahim, a student of class one at Government Central Model School Lower Mall said that he spent the vacations with his paternal relatives in Mirpur where he enjoyed the weather with his family and relatives. He said that he shared his experiences with his classmates in the class today when the teacher asked the students about how they spent their holidays. He, however, said that holidays must have not ended so soon.
