Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain congratulated the nation on its 67th Independence Day.
The MQM chief said that extremism must be thwarted in order to fulfill the dream of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
In a special congratulatory message issued on the eve of Independence Day, Altaf said that the true spirit of independence could not be achieved unless the feudal system was eradicated from the country. He said that the MQM, mindful of the fact that there was a need to take concrete measures and chalk out a comprehensive policy against terrorism, had issued a national counter terrorism policy on August 14th.
The MQM chief emphasised the need of equality for all minorities living in the country.
