The Local bodies (LB) polls plan has been prepared in 43 cantonment boards across the country dividing all the cantonment boards (CB) in three categories.
As per the Election Commission (EC), 12 candidates will be elected from the CBs having more than one million population. As many as seven candidates will be elected from the boards having 50 thousand to one million population and two candidates will be elected from the boards having population less than 50 thousand.
As per details, following this procedure, 266 candidates will be elected in LB polls. According to the EC, there are 139 seats in 22 cantonment boards of Punjab, 46 in eight boards of Sindh, 28 in nine CBs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and 13 seats will be in four CBs of Balochistan.
