Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday urged Indian leadership to sit together and make a new beginning in its ties with Pakistan in order to resolve all outstanding issues between the two countries peacefully.

“Let us make a new beginning. Let us sit together to resolve all outstanding issues in a friendly manner and in a peaceful atmosphere,” he said in a message telecast on a private channel.

The prime minister said before 1947, people of Pakistan and India used to live together, adding that now 65 years of independence have passed and both countries needed to improve their ties for betterment and prosperity.

“We must become good friends. Hold each other’s hands. We must sit together with an open and clean heart,” he said.

Nawaz addressed the people of India, “We have a lot of love and affection for you and we must become good friends.”

  1. my dear gonglooo…..you will have to do some serious thinking/manipulation
not all the best intentions in the world will change the mindset there

  2. Ohh Please Mian Sahb, Grow UP!
Be Courageous, Stop thinking about just growing your own business to India!
    Think about Pakistan.. PLEASE!!!!!!!

  3. Good advice! But, India is likely to cooperate only when it knows who is in Command over here in Pakistan; establishment or Government.

  4. It is in the interest and well being of both the countries to resolve these matters and be freindly . Wish Imran khan is in charge, he had a plan and a vision to deal with india and reduce the tension and eliminate these kinds of border incidents by having both the armies reduce in size and pull back . Billions are being spent on both side on these armies, while common people in both countries are caught in the quagmire of poverty , no proper water supply, reduced electricity , high unemployment, dieseases and lot more of sufferings. May Allah guide us to the right path- Ameen.

  5. Stop being lean Mr. Nawaz Sharif, we know u have core business interests in India. Its time to stand up now firmly to see in the eyes of Indians. Be firm.
