The Federal Investigation Agency on Tuesday directed the Peshawar Electricity Company for registering an FIR against brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmaker for stealing electricity.
According to an FIA official, a raid was conducted on a double-storey building on Kohat Road where the occupants were found stealing electricity. The building comprises of Peshawar Coaching Academy and an office of former Union Council nazim Hassan Garhi. The building is owned by Asghar Khalil who is the younger brother of PTI MPA Yaseen Khalil. Yaseen is also adviser to KP Chief Minister Pervez Khattak. The FIA official said that formal FIR was registered against Asghar Khalil whereas PESCO made disconnected electricity supply to the building.
