Jamat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan on Monday urged the Pakistani government to accept the talks offer by the Taliban.
Talking to reporters, he said the option of using force had been unsuccessful in the past. “The only solution to the problem of terrorism is to hold talks with the Taliban.”
The JI chief said if talks could be held with India, they could be held with the Taliban as well, “who are our own”.
Hassan said the JI had completed homework ahead of a meeting with Interior Minister Nisar Ali Khan.
Earlier, the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan on Saturday expressed willingness to hold talks with the government if it constituted a committee of intellectuals and religious leaders of impeccable credibility.
Pakistani Taliban spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said the Taliban wanted Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and Jamat-e-Islami chief Syed Munawar Hassan to be made representatives of the government for the talks.
All terrorism in Pakistan is due to JI. A time will come when JI will ask ask govermnet to give control of Pakistan to Taliban.
Bangladesh is treating JI very proactively. Pakistan should follow Bangladesh.

“who are our own” …
.
"Our own" are the TTP murderers that Munawar supports…they are the enemy within Pakistan…everyone knows this but no one does anything about it…and the killing continues…
Talks is the only way – otherwise there would never be peace in Pakistan
Munawar is a terrorist supporter…he should be arrested in the first wave of attacks on the TTP who are killing your people…TTP are not honorable men that you can talk with and convince to change their ways…they are fanatics and extremist murders of children..no amount of talks is going to change them into decent human beings who respect other points of view…
