Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yasin on Monday visited several city areas to inspect the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA)’s arrangements for the speedy disposal of accumulated rain water.
He inspected the water disposal at the main sewer lines and at under-construction projects at Qartaba Chowk, Mozang, Lakshami Chowk, Nisbat Road and other areas and he also supervised WASA’s operation.
The minister directed the WASA management to ensure standby arrangements of fuel for generators during electricity load shedding hours for uninterrupted functioning of disposal pumps and for the supply of drinking water to the people.
