Capital city cops make their presence felt on Eid

The Capital Police on Sunday apprehended 12 individuals during various raids and recovered huge quantity of wine, weapons and stolen items from them, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SSP Muhammad Rizwan directed all police officials for effective crackdowns against wine sellers in the city and ensured their arrest.
On his directions, Aabpar Police Station’s ASI’s Main Imran, Khuram Shahzad, Umer Hayat and Khalid Javid arrested six bootleggers identified as Shakeel, Atif, Arshad, Muhammad Fahim, Eshan Ali and Ishtiq Massaih and recovered 108 wine bottles from their possession.
Shalimar Police Station ASI Muhammad Iqbal arrested two bootleggers, Malik Sagar and Mumraz Khan, and recovered 25 wine bottles and 75 beer cans from their possession.
Tarnol Police Station SI Muhammad Ejaz arrested a bootlegger, Imran, and recovered two wine bottles from him while
SI Muhammad Idrees arrested a man named Shahid who was involved in theft, and recovered stolen property amounting to Rs 10,000 from him.
Golara Police Station ASI Muhammad Akram arrested and recovered one illegal 30 bore pistol and 32 bullets from a man named Zain.
Kohsar Police Station ASI Muhammad Sadique arrested an accused, Imran Hayat, and recovered one 9MM pistol and two
magzines from him.
Separate cases were registered against the accused while
further investigation was underway.
Islamabad SSP Muhammad Rizwan appreciated the overall performance and said that the Islamabad police was determined to ensure effective action against those involved in bootlegging and drug bolstering activities.
Furthermore, in an operation against anti-social elements, the Rawalpindi Police conducted several raids during the Eid holidays and arrested 31 lawbreakers and recovered 1,500 grams charras (bullets), 41 liquor bottles, 18 30-bore pistols with 63 rounds and two 12-bore rifles from their possession.
The Taxila Police held Ghazanfar Ali and recovered 1,150 grams of charras from his possession, and additionally apprehended Shahid Riaz on the recovery of five liquor bottles from him.
The Kalar Syedan Police arrested Ijaz Ahmed with 350 grams charras while the Rawat Police apprehended Shabir, from whom 30 liquor bottles were recovered.
POLICE FINE 29 TINTED GLASS VEHICLES: The Capital Police on Sunday removed black papers from tinted glass vehicles during a general hold up in the city and fined their owners , a police spokesman said.

According to the details, Islamabad SSP Muhammad Rizwan directed all police officials to ensure effective security and patrolling measures in their respective areas.
Moreover, they were asked to take strict action against drivers of vehicles not possessing their vehicle documents, professional beggars and criminal elements.
The Islamabad police launched a crackdown and impounded 56 bikes and 8 vehicles during the general holdup.
