Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch reiterated his government’s strong resolve to fight terrorism saying that the government vowed not to bow down before the terrorists and would continue to fight against the miscreants until they were eliminated.
The CM visited the families of the policemen killed in Thursday’s suicide attack at Quetta’s Police Line. He assured the extension of every possible help for the victims’ families. Baloch lauded the sacrifices rendered by the police and law enforcement agencies in discharge of their duty.
Baloch was accompanied by Federal States and Frontier Region Minister Abdul Qadir Baloch, Balochistan Police Inspector General and Provincial Ministers Abdul Raheem Ziaratwal and Nawab Muhammad Khan Shahwani.
“Quetta is our identity and we will not leave it at the mercy of terrorists,” he said.
He termed the attacks as retaliation to the recent police crackdowns, adding that there was no need to fear such attacks.
Federal Minister Abdul Qadir said the terrorists had given a clear indication that there was no other option but to fight. He said that the DI Khan jailbreak, the attack on Sukkur’s ISI office and the Bannu incidents were a declaration of war by the terrorists.
“If we want to service we will have to fight. There is no other option,” he said.
