Kid Rock falls victim to home invasion

Unless your name is Kiiiiid, you’re family, or you’re a welcome guest, it’s probably not a good idea to show up at Kid Rock’s suburban Detroit home without an invitation.
But 43-year-old Brian D. Keith allegedly did just that on July 31, 2013. And on Tuesday, Keith was charged with three felonies for his alleged attempted break into the rocker’s Clarkston, Mich., residence.
Per Detroitnews.com, Keith was charged with attempted home invasion, malicious destruction of a building and malicious destruction, each of which is punishable by up to five years in prison. Because the judge in the case considers Keith to be “a flight risk,” he was ordered to be placed in jail in lieu of posting a $75,000 cash bond. He is due back in court Monday.
The alleged intruder was apprehended Saturday, thanks in part to security footage. Images of the presumed suspect, walking with the help of crutches, were posted on the 42-year-old musician’s website. (Keith told the judge Tuesday he recently had surgery and requires extensive physical therapy to maintain proper use of his legs.)
Kid Rock (real name: Robert Ritchie) offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of “this jackass.” He also warned any future intruders, “Don’t mess with a Motherf—ker like me.”
“Thank God I was not on the property at the time of this attempted break-in. I am an avid hunter and marksman and I will not hesitate to shoot anyone who has myself or family in fear for our lives,” he wrote. “I take the invasion of my personal space very seriously regardless of who you are and YES, I do profile people. I am currently profiling any balding white male on crutches driving a white creeper van.”
Looks like all you balding white males on crutches driving white creeper vans in the Detroit area can rest easy.
