Unidentified criminals axed to death a cleric and his wife in the suburbs of Chishtian on Thursday.
In Nasirabad Colony, the attackers entered the house of Hafiz Nizamuddin and axed the couple and fled from the scene.
Upon receiving information, police reached and shifted the bodies to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy.
The bodies were later handed over to their relatives. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
