At least four people drowned when a boat, they were travelling in, capsized in floodwater in Dera Ghazi Khan on Thursday.
Rescuers were engaged in searching for the missing people.
According to reports, a hill torrent passed through Taunsa tehsil of Dera Ghazi Khan district, swamping nearby villages and forcing residents to migrate to higher ground. Floodwater also entered 45 more villages of Naseerabad district of Balochistan. Standing crops in these areas were damaged but no loss of life was reported, according to the NDMA.
Dozens of villages have submerged in Narowal and affected people are awaiting government agencies to provide relief to them.
