The city police averted a terrorist attack on Wednesday by defusing three low-intensity explosives planted in different areas in the limits of Miryan Police Station.
According to sources, the police received a tip off that unidentified men had planted explosives in a school, the ‘hujra’ (sitting room) of Sardar Yusuf Khan and on a roadside.
The police and the Bomb Disposal Squad rushed to the sites and defused all three bombs.
Explosion of the bombs would have brought massive loss to life and property.
The police have started investigation.
